Prana Prana and Naga Upa Prana

Prana Prana or simply Prana has its own sub vital air called Naga Upa Prana … Both Prana and Naga are in the chest region of the physical body … Prana Prana moves in a forward direction … Prana Prana is of a yellow color and Naga Upa Prana or Nag Upa Prana is of a light blue color which has slight amount of yellow colored specs in it, which denote its union to Prana Prana …

This topic continues from the previous one which had the header of “Samana Prana and Krukul Upa Prana” … This is the eleventh part of this series of topics on Hridayakasha Garbha Tantra

Study of cave of Prana with hierarchy of Prana Prana and Naga Upa Prana with respect to other prana

Prana Prana and Naga Upa Prana or Nag Upa Prana …

While walking, a bright fluorescent yellow hue was seen and pointing to this hue of bright yellow, the eternal guide said … “This is the 3rd vital air (Prana Prana) and behind this is the light blue 3rd sub vital air (Naga Upa Prana) … The 3rd sub vital air (Nag Upa Prana) resides only on the front side of the 3rd vital air i.e. it is present towards the side of the cave of consciousness” …

The little student saw this bright yellow color, which as such was also the color of the naval Chakra or Nabhi chakra, but this prana was much brighter and he also remembered that the yellow colored state of the 2nd vital air (Samana Prana) which also was lighter than this yellow color of Prana Prana because in this Prana Prana the green color which was seen within the Samana was not there … And then he nodded in understanding …

The eternal guide said … “This yellow hue is the yellow of the 8th cave of the heart and thus is very bright in some aspirants who have attained to the 8th sphere of nature, after self realizing it … As also, this 3rd vital air can also seem to be of a  bright golden color if the 3rd vital air (Prana Prana) is already cleansed of its impurities (i.e. cleansed of earlier impressions or Samskaras which were residing within it) … This yellow is also the color that was seen at the time when we had discussed the root Chakra (Mooladhara Chakra) during the earlier visit to that part of the cave of Prana where that 1st vital air (or Apana Prana) was present … In minor amounts, this Prana Prana (3rd vital air) is present in the center of the Muladhara or Root Chakra and it is also present in the center of each of the seven main chakras and this is because the 3rd vital air (Prana Prana) denotes an eternally forward moving condition of the evolutionary process in which everything that has ever begun within the Maker’s Makings, is existent … Thus, this Prana Prana (3rd vital air) also denotes the ‘Principle of eternal evolution’, where the evolution is not only eternal, but is is also forward moving i.e. it eternally is within an upwardly moving directional state” …

The little student nodded in understanding …

The eternal guide continued … “This may even be seen as the main prana, however it is not the main one in the vita air sheath (Pranamaya Kosha) and it is through this vital air (of Prana Prana) that the word Prana which denotes all vital airs, had come into being … Thus, all vital airs were told with the suffix of Prana because of the 3rd vital air (Prana Prana) and the reason for this was that this 3rd vital air denotes the process of evolution in a forward moving state (i.e. upwardly moving or progressive state)” …

The little student nodded in understanding …

Prana Prana and Nirguna chakra …

The eternal guide told … “As also, within the heart Chakra or Anahat Chakra is the Nirgun chakra or the aspectless chakra, which as such is the Chakra of the attributeless state of the Absolute being (Nirguna Nirakara Brahman) and since this chakra directly relates to the absolute being (Parambrahma), so this was also the reason for the name of this Prana Prana, which as such is of the heart region to be added as a suffix of all other Prana” …

And the eternal guide continued … “This Nirgun chakra or attributeless Chakra self-manifests within the heart chakra (or the Anahat chakra) of very rare Yogi’s and it is of the size of a half pea which is in a vertical axis of the spinal column i.e. this attributeless or colorless chakra is in the same direction as the spinal column … But this chakra is extremely rate because it only gets self manifested in those extremely rare Yogi’s who are destined to enter into a union to Nirgun Nirakaar Brahm (or Parabrahman) within their then incarnation or soon after their then incarnation is completed … Such Yogi’s are the ones who enter into a union with the Ishana face of Shiva, who as such is also directly denoting the entirety of fullness of Sadashiva” …

And the eternal guide continued … “This Nirguna chakra (or attributeless chakra) is having an axis which is in line with the Sushmuna Nadi (or the central vital force channel) and is such that it is aligned to the line which connects the root Chakra (or the Mooladhara chakra) and crown chakra (or Brahmarandra chakra)” … But at the same time, such a sight is only an illusion, because in reality, the attributeless is omnipresent and omnidirectional too … And yet it would be initially seen like the way it has been described here because it is present inside the heart chakra (Anahata Chakra) itself … It illumines the heart chakra in such a way that when we closely observe it, then it is self realized just as it has been described here, and yet that Nirguna Chakra is not so, as it actually is denoting the attributeless infinite being (Parabrahman)” …

Then the eternal guide told … “During the degenerate age cycles, the knowledge of this colorless chakra goes missing from the world and this is why, present day scriptures don’t tell about it … And as a matter of fact, even the knowledge of paths that relate to self realization of the attributeless being (i.e. Supreme being or Parambrahma) is missing within the degenerate age cycles … This is why even the teachers of Vedanta say things like, ‘who has known the Atman, nobody has ever known the Atman, Nobody can know the Nirguna Nirakara Brahman, etc-etc” … And then the eternal guide pointed to this attributeless chakra (or the colorless Chakra) and told, see for yourself the colorless lighted state within the heart chakra itself and where this colorless chakra is at right angles to the energy fields of the heart chakra” …

The little student saw this as a colorless state and was void of any aspect or color and thought what a pity that this is also not told in any of the scriptures of today … And then he nodded in affirmative whilst looking at the divine face of the eternal guide …

The little student looked and saw … “A green chakra with a yellowish color in its middle to which the eternal guide said … This is the Anahat chakra with petals of green to the base, red to the middle and blue to the extremities” …

And then the little student saw the sun moon or the lightness darkness Chakra to which the eternal guide had pointed and then the eternal guide told said … “These sun-moon are two different chakra if considered differently, however if we shall look closely then the two are fully merged in their vitalities because condition of lightness darkness is of their union only and where the apparent lightness is of the sun chakra and the apparent darkness is of the moon chakra and where the much higher lightness of sun chakra overshadows the lesser state of brightness of the moon chakra, due to which the moon chakra looks as if it is based in darkness, even when it is also illumined by a very subtle beige (light yellow) colored light … The moon Chakra is darker than the sun Chakra, but it is really not dark in color … Thus, even when the moon chakra may seen dark in relation to the sun chakra, but it really is not dark in color” …

The eternal guide continued … “This moon is not a dark side, but is the less bright side as compared to the sun part and thus the moon is even called as darkness which as such is comparative of the sun-moon combination within the lightness darkness chakra” …

And then the eternal guide pointed to the Nirgun Chakra or the aspectless Chakra which is in a vertical axis and then said … “Look at the axis of this chakra within the heart chakra, and see that it is apparent visible at right angles to all the cones which emanate from other major chakras, as all other chakras are having an axis which is horizontal and on the contrary, this aspectless chakra is vertical in its axis when an aspirants spine is upright (in a standing or sitting posture) … And at the same time, this Nirgun chakra or attributeless chakra is aspectless of each aspect, and thus due to this reason, in reality what we see as of now is naught but an illusion … As also when we shall further look at this chakra, then at a point where we see its apparent union to the heart chakra, the flows of all the Prana’s are merging together and then these vital airs are also emanating together after merging within this chakra and thus within the light of the heart chakra, we see a very subtle colorless state which shines behind that light and still remains free of all colors … And if we see closely, this Nirgun chakra (or the attributeless Chakra) is actually not limited to out sight, as it extents till infinite (where the sight can see) distances because it is the reason for illumination of allness and her each part and yet its colorless light (as is visible in the heart chakra) stays hidden behind all that is visibly seen” …

The eternal guide continued further and told … “And it was due to this reason, that, the self realized, all realized Vedic sages have interpreted Nirguna as follows … Nirgun or attributeless is that which illumines all and yet that Nirguna stays hidden behind all that it illumines … It is the knowable, yet indescribable … It is the self realizable yet beyond words … It is omnipresent, yet beyond the capabilities of instruments that are available to know anything and thus the mind knows it now, vitality knows it not, knowledge knows it not and I’ness (Ahamkara) also doesn’t know it … Nirguna is the one through which everything is known and yet Nirguna is the unknown to most aspirants (i.e. Very few Yogi’s have self realized Nirguna) … Nirguna is the source of all, yet all parts of allness don’t  know it (i.e. Nirguna is only self realized by very few aspirants) … It is the source of all knowledge, yet words cannot describe its … It is the eternal fullness, the words cannot describe its fullness … It is the finality which is always arrived after a successful completion of evolutionary process, but very few aspirants who attain to it have ever survived to describe it and thus, Nirguna has also been addressed as the eternal unknown, even when it has definitely been self realized, but only by a handful of aspirants during the entirety of existence of the Maker’s Makings … And because the Nirguna chakra (which as such is an infinite chakra, but within the heart is is somehow self realized as a chakra) is self realizable in the heart chakra itself, so the name of the vital air of the heart region (Prana Prana) came to be used for all other vital airs within the entire vital air sheath (Pranamaye Kosha) …

And thence the eternal guide pointed to the ether and said … “See that same colorless light illumining the ether too” …

The little student saw and agreed in affirmative …

Self realization of Nirguna Nirakara …

But then the little student had a doubt so he asked the eternal guide … “First I was told that nobody can see the Nirguna (colorless self illumined one), except a handful of aspirants … But suddenly, now I see it everywhere … Why so? …

The eternal guide replied … “Because only a handful of aspirants have ever seen it and those who see it, also see it everywhere because Nirguna is also the omnipresent one … Those who have self realized IT, become IT itself and thus the self realized sages had thus told …

  • To know IT (Brahman), be IT …
  • Know Brahman, to be Brahman
  • Those who know That (Brahman or Parabrahman), be That till eternity …
  • Knower of Brahman, is Brahman itself …
  • And many more such statements …

And then the eternal guide said … “But in knowing IT and also after knowing IT, one mustn’t forget another cautionary note of those self realized, all realized Vedic sages, who had also stated thus …

Those who know IT, and believe they know IT, have not fully known IT

Those who have known IT and yet believe they don’t know it, really know IT

The the eternal guide said …”This was told so because of the fact, that, IT can never be fully known, due to the fact, that, IT by ITself is the infinite and infinite itself s naught but the undefined when we consider IT within IT’s fullness of allness of self expressions, which as such are vast in numbers and aspects, and whose main ones are told as follows …

  • Saguna Sakara … This means that which is attributed, yet in form …
  • Saguna Nirakara … This means, That which is attributed, yet formless …
  • Nirguna Nirakara … This means, That which is attributeless, yet Infinite …
  • And In between the later two, is the state of original self expression of IT, which as such is that which is Zero yet infinite and this is what was told as Shunya Brahman and this is what Samadhi Pada of Yoga Tantra describes as Asamprajnita Samadhi … This is Sriman Naaraayana, the eternal guide of everything and everyone … And this is also told as Viraat Parabrahman Sadashiva, in addition to being addressed as Bhagwan Vishvakarman
  • And in between the former two, is are two more primary self manifestations of IT … These are as follows … Saguna Nirguna Nirakara which means as attributed-attributeless being in a formless state … And … Saguna Sakara Nirakara, which means as attributed-attributed being in a form …

The eternal guide continued … “One can just BE IT, and that too just as ones innermost essence (Atman) eternally is … This is because, Atman is Brahman … Thus , the primary requirement to, Be united to Brahman, Be Atman … This is the only path of knowing IT … And the path of knowing it, is only opened up by adopting the essence of Atmavani … And also an undisputed fact, that, the path of Atma Vani is only entered in by any aspirant, after that aspirant walks within the essence of the wise words, that, ‘There is nowhere to go, nothing to do, nobody to be’ except to be as his (or her) own Atman … And these wise words are only denoting the path where the aspirant walks within the essence of the statement ‘Myself Within Myself’ (i.e. Himself within Himself or Herself within Herself, as the gender of an aspirant may be)” …

The little student nodded in understanding …

Seven chakras? … Or eight chakras? … Or nine chakras? … Or ten chakras? …

Then the little student asked the all knowledgeable eternal guide so as to clarify another doubt … “The body has seven chakras as some texts say this or the body has eight chakras as some other texts say this too or the body has nine chakras is told by some sages or there are ten chakras and ten doors which is also stated by some sages … So which one is the correct statement? … And why” …

The eternal guide smiled and replied … “Look from this ‘Prana Prana and tell yourself as this Prana is present in each major chakra … Just see the yellow color and start from the Brahmarandra (or the thousand petalled crown chakra which is located at the top of brain)” …

The little student counted “One Brahmarandra or crown, Two Ajna chakra or third eye, Three Vishuddha or throat, Four Anahat or heart, Fifth Surya Chandra Chakra or lightness darkness chakra, Sixth Nabhi chakra or naval chakra, Seventh Swadishtan chakra or sex chakra, Eighth Mooladhara Chakra or root chakra” and then looked up to the eternal guide and said “Just these eight have this yellow of Prana within their centers” …

The eternal guide smiled and said “ Now look at the lightness darkness Chakra and tell as you look closely within this “How many centers are there in this Chakra” …

The student looked and said “Two … One of sun and other of moon … And each merged together into one Chakra which in turn makes it to have two centers very close to one another, however their conical openings which manifest from the bodies front-back part are just one and the same” …

The eternal guide smiled and said “This is what causes a difference … If we consider one sun chakra and the other moon chakra as separate, then the total chakras are nine and some texts state this also, however the yellow is missing in their individualities and thus these are minor chakras or minor chakras that rest in their unioned state (or main chakra of lightness darkness or sun moon chakra)” …

The student nodded in understanding …

And then the eternal guide said “Now look as the Nirgun chakra and tell if this also has a center of yellow” …

The little student looked and said “It originates from the center of yellow of the heart Chakra, however this does not have a center of yellow within itself because it is like a colorless light, which stays behind all lights and shines behind them” … Then the student looked up at the eternal guide and further stated “Is this Nirgun chakra or colorless chakra also a major chakra?” …

The eternal guide said “Yes and No … Yes for an aspirant who has attained to the attributeless state (of Nirguna Brahman) which itself is through the path of self realization of the Mahavakya (Great statement) of Atharvaveda which the wise sages have told as “Ayam Atma Brahma, and which means as Atma is Brahma … And no for those aspirants who has not arrived at such a state of self realization … Higher knowledge is always kept hidden until an aspirant arrives at such a stage of ripeness and rightness of evolutionary standing from where the path of knowing the hidden part, can be opened up … Unless ones evolutionary standing within the macrocosmic hierarchies has reached this ripeness and rightness to know something that was hidden till then, that hidden aspect can never be know … This is what was told as ‘never share any higher knowledge to anyone who is not an appropriate Patra (vessel) for that knowledge … When any aspirant becomes an appropriate Patra (vessel), the only does a Guru come to that aspirant and this is what was told by all knowing sages through their statements like, ‘When the student is ready, master shall automatically appear’ … And then the eternal guide pointed to himself and said Like That One (eternal guide) appeared for this one (little student)” …

The eternal guide continued … “When ‘Any This (stated whilst pointing to the little student)’ has arrived at his (or her) evolutionary ripeness and rightness to ‘Be That (eternal guide pointed to himself)’, then only would ‘That one (eternal guide) would appear in the heart of ‘This one (every little student)’ … And this itself is due to the fact, that in the finality of reality of things, ‘This Is That’ and this is what was stated through a Mahavakya of Atharvaveda, which the all wise sages had told as ‘Ayamatma Brahma’, and which means as This (Atman) Is That (Brahman)” …

The little student nodded again in understanding but since he still had his doubts, so he asked … “Is this Naval chakra, a major chakra or minor chakra?” …

The eternal guide said … This one (little student) had given this knowledge of seven chakras in his previous incarnation when This one (little student) was a sage of the path of Aghora face of Sadashiva and when he was also known by a name which if translated, would also mean as, ‘reverence to the divine leaf’ … And that given the knowledge of all seven chakras, is still followed as the base of al paths of Yoga Tantra and yet in the present incarnation, ‘This one (little student’ has forgotten this fact … See this is what happens when the impressions (Samskaras) of the donor of physical vehicle, whose body was taken over by this one (little student) through the path of transmigration of soul, begin enveloping the truth that itself is within that aspirant … Thus, unless these impressions are unseeded, such an aspirant also cannot know his past lives … And then the eternal guide smiled and told “Just like this one (little student) asking that knowledge which he had only given in a previous incarnation and yet has forgotten it, due to the impressions (Samskaras) of the donor of physical vehicle, still enveloping the truth which itself is within him’ … This is why, to evict these impressions (i.e. unseed these impressions), That one (eternal guide) has self manifested within the cave of heart of This one (little student) but only after he had arrived at an evolutionary ripeness and rightness to lead to such a self manifestation … And this is also the reason for making This one (little student) enter into the path of Hridayakasha Garbha Tantra, from where these impressions can be fully unseeded” …

The little student nodded in understanding of what was told by the revered guide … But he had still not received a reply for his earlier query, so he asked again with his hands folded in reverence … “Is this Naval chakra, a major chakra or minor chakra?” …

The eternal guide laughed out aloud and said … “Yes and no … Because this naval chakra is also like a reflection of Pancha Prana (Five Prana) and Pancha Upa Prana (Five Upa Prana) which converge onto those large number of subtler body nerves which number 330 million (33 crores) and where these subtle nerves are also converging into the back side of the naval area and closer to the spine, in the form of an elongated half pea shape of a Lingam … And as these nerves converge, the yellow of Prana gets accumulated in this area and thus at this stage of progress, that yellow color is also seen in the middle of the naval chakra” …

And then the eternal guide pointed and said … “Look at all these nerves which converge into that elongated half pea shape (Linga) at the area that is at the near the naval chakra and towards the spinal column” …

The little student saw and nodded in affirmative …

The guide continued … “But at the same time, when all the subtle nerves which form this elongated half pea shaped structure (i.e. Nabhi Lingam) come under the effect of the neutrality as is within real middle of Samana prana, then this half pea shape is seen to be of a matt white or even a shining white color” …

The little student looked and nodded in affirmative and further asked “But is this a major chakra?” …

The eternal guide said “All chakras which have a larger accumulation of yellow color of ‘Prana Prana’ or the 3rd vital air, are major chakras” …

The little student was satisfied now and thus didn’t ask any further …

The eternal guide said … “Ashtachakra Navdvara (Eight Chakra, Nine gates) is what this body is until the Nirgun chakra manifests within the Heart chakra itself and when the Nirgun chakra manifests in the heart Chakra, then there is also a similar reflection that gets manifested within the root Chakra or the Mooladhara chakra … And this reflection like chakra is what was termed as the Kundalini chakra (or the chakra of serpentine force that lies dormant at the lower part of spinal column and it awaits the ripeness and rightness of evolutionary standing of that aspirant, so as to begin rising upwards and ultimately reach the thousand petalled lotus at the top of brain (i.e. Brahmarandra chakra or Sahasrara) and thence thence travel to the eighth Chakra (which as such is the Ashtama chakra)  … However this Kundalini chakra is a chakra that is self realized only when the aspirant willfully stops the first rise of Kundalini within the heart chakra … During the stage of initial rise of Kundalini to the heart, if the aspirant willfully stops its rise within the heart chakra, then at that stage the Kundalini chakra which denotes the seat of Kundalini is like a black colored berry (Jamun fruit) and this is also the stage of self realization of the sound of Emaho” …

The eternal guide continued telling … “This self realization of Emaho, is due to the blessing of one of the Pancha Vidya, who is also addressed as Brahmini Devi, because during this self realization of ‘Ema Ho’, Devi Brahmini would be sitting in the Sahasrara (thousand petalled lotus which is present at the top of brain) of that aspirant … Brahmini Devi is one of the manifestations of the divine golden mother, who as such is the eternal consort Hiranyagarbha Brahma and she is also the one who is called as Akar in Yoga Tantra, and she is also addressed as Devi Maa Gayatri in Vedas and she is also the one who within the lore’s of Gurudeva of your previous incarnation, is addressed as Buddha Prajnaparamita … Within the biblical lore’s, she is also the one who is addressed as Woman clothed with the sun, and this is in addition to being her being addressed as the woman of the apocalypse and she is also the one whom the Biblical lore’s have addressed as Mother Mary” …

The eternal guide continued even further … “And coincidentally, one of these Pancha Vidya, who is addressed as Devi Gayatri and who itself is the same as Devi Brahmini as both these Devi are self manifestations of the same Adi Parashakti, is also the one who had borne and thence transported ‘This one (little student)’ from Tatpurusha face of Sadashiva to this world, so ‘This one (little student)’ could enter this world by adopting the process of Parkaya Pravesh (Transmigration of soul) and thus render his pending Guru Dakshina of the guide of his previous incarnations, which also were arrived at those times by adopting the same process of Transmigration of soul (Parkaya Pravesh) … Ever since the Swayambhu Manvantara, This one (little student) has never taken a regular birth or birth from soul of a physically present mother because the stage from where a regular birth could have been possible, was already evolved past since this one (little student) had been born as a Manas Putra (mind activated, but womb born son) of Brahmarishi Kratu, who at that time also held the attainment of being the Prajapati i.e. being the physical incarnation of the 33rd type of Vedic deity of that time”  …

The little student nodded in understanding, but asked … “But after the Kundalini awakening, what happens to the Kundalini chakra/ … This knowledge is still not told by the eternal guide, so I ask …

The eternal guide continued further … “Once the awakening of Kundalini (or rise of Kundalini) starts, then it can never be stopped till eternity … It can only be stopped for a limited period of time … So at that later stage of rise (i.e. when that Kundalini would again rise) then that same Kundalini chakra would be visible as a Kundalini lingam, that is of a golden color and it has many smaller Linga protruding from it” …

And then the eternal guide said while pointing “Look at that Kundalini chakra (or the chakra of vital energy serpent)” …

The little student looked and saw a very small Jamun fruit like chakra close to the root chakra (or Mooladhara chakra) … And then nodded in understanding … But still the little student thought, this is not as per scriptures …

The eternal guide said “Now look is you can see if any yellow of ‘Prana Prana (or the third vital air) is present in this serpent force Chakra (or Kundalini Chakra)” …

The little student looked and replied … “No, the yellow is not there, however this Chakra also connects to the yellow that is visible within the root Chakra and still is devoid of this yellow color of ‘Prana Prana” which is present inside the root chakra” …

The eternal guide said … “Which does not have a bright yellow colored ‘Prana Prana’ is not a major Chakra … And thus, we deduce that there are just eight Chakra within this nine doors of the body … And the eighth chakra (Ashtama Chakra) is the one which is stated in Atharvaveda … This eighth chakra is also termed as the Brahmaloka Chakra, Brahma Chakra … And is also termed as Niralambasthana (foundationless place) and also as Niralamba Chakra (foundationless chakra or rootless chakra) and also as Swatantra chakra (independent chakra), Kaivalya Chakra (the chakra of isolation from allness), Mukti chakra (chakra of final liberation), Nirvana chakra (the chakra of final emancipation) … All these names denote the final stage of independence or Moksha and these names were given by various sages to the same eighth chakra because it is actually handing in open lightless space that lies above the chakra which sages had termed as Vajradanda” …

The the eternal guide said … Thus the eight primary chakras of Yoga Tantra are as follows from lowermost till the uppermost chakra … “Lowermost is the root chakra (or Mooladhara chakra), then in upward direction till the top of head the following chakras are present … Swadhisthan Chakra (sex plexus), Nabhi chakra (navel plexus), Anahata chakra (heart chakra), Vishuddha chakra (throat chakra), Ajna chakra (Third eye plexus) and Sahasrara (Brahmarandra chakra or thousand petalled lotus at top of brain) … These are the seven main chakras … Then at the top of head is the minor chakra called as Vajradanda chakra which is like a golden colored tubular channel that extends beyond the top of head … And then is a main chakra which is the Ashtama chakra of Atharvaveda chapter 10

So it we also consider the lightness darkness chakra as one, then there are nine chakras … And if we consider its two parts (of sun chakra and moon chakra) separately, then there are ten chakras …

And if we also consider the Nirguna chakra (attributeless chakra) then there are eleven chakras …

And if we also consider the golden colored Vajradanda as a major chakra (because it also has the yellow colored Prana Prana in it), then there are twelve primary chakras … Of these eight are in the subtle body (Sookshma Sharira) and two (Vajradanda and eighth chakra) are out of the subtle body … And the one (Nirguna chakra) is neither only here nor only there because it is denoting the attributeless infinite being (Brahman)” …

Then the eternal guide said … “Inside each of the Panch Randra (Five secret crevices of liberation) there are minor chakras, but we shall not be discussing these here because these are a mater of self realization … These five Randra of Yogic lore were addressed as follows during those ancient and already forgotten times … Brahmarandra (secret crevice of creator, which is also called as the great crevice) … Shivarandra (secret crevice of Guru Shiva, which also means as the auspicious crevice) … Vishnurandra (secret crevice of Sri Vishnu, which means as the crevice of eternal guide) … Devirandra (the secret crevice of pristine divinity of the Absolute being) … Agyarandra (the secret crevice of third eye, which means as the secret crevice of Raudri Rudra Yoga or the crevice of Saguna Swaroop Stithi) … And Hridayarandra (secret crevice of heart, which as such is denotes Devayana or vehicle of Deva’s and which is also termed as Mahayana or the great vehicle (or in Vedic terms, the Supreme vehicle because in Vedas, there can never be two greats) … And also the other part of Hridayarandra, which relates to Parayana or the vehicle of Adi Shakti or the vehicle of Maa Prakriti)” …

And then the eternal guide continued speaking further and told … “But in reality, if we consider all major chakras, then there are 112 chakras in the body, 2 out of the body (i.e. Vajradanda chakra and eighth chakra) and one that is denoting the attributeless infinite being … Thus there actually are 112 plus 2 plus the non-dual chakra (or chakra without alternates or Nirvikalpa chakra) which as such has only self manifested in microcosm of those very rare aspirants who have already arrived at an evolutionary ripeness and rightness to enter into the attributeless infinite absolute being (Parabrahman) and rest until the entirety of pending eternity of the eternal endless cycles of dissolution and origination of Makersmakings and yet these aspirants can be recalled back, but in only very rare circumstances … There is nothing beyond these listed ones as far as major chakras are concerned …

The eternal guide continued further … “But minor chakras are also there as each joint of the physical body has its own minor chakra, the palms and feet have their own minor chakras, each organ of the body also has its own minor chakras and each of the 33 crore nerves also have their own specific minor chakras, which denote each of the divinities (Devi and Deva) who reside in those subtle nerves … Thus, in reality, there are a total of 33 crore one hundred and eight

The little student was totally amazed by this lecture because whilst speaking and taking breaks between these talks, the eternal guide also kept pointing at many-many chakras so as to prove this point to little student …

The eternal guide replied … “Size of a chakra has no bearing on making any chakra as minor or major chakra … All that matters is the presence of the yellow colored Prana Prana in it” …

And then the eternal guide said after a short break of conversation for a few seconds and continued … “Prana Prana (i.e. 3rd vital air of heart) ensures an ever forward movement … Forward movement in turn denotes the evolutionary progress … And it was due to this reason, that the Prana Prana is the one from which the term Prana originates” …

The little student asked “What exactly is a forward movement?” …

The eternal guide replied “It means forward moving … It also means evolution within real nextness” …

The little student asked … “Does this also apply to the next of nextness of evolution as was told earlier by the honorable eternal guide” …

The eternal guide smiled and said … “Yes, in its literal sense and also that this ‘Prana Prana’ ensures that if any real next’s become stagnated (due to supersonic modes of evolution where these real next’s are jumped so as to reach the next of next that is beyond that real next stage of level of evolution) during the evolutionary progress of any aspirant, then at some later stage of evolutionary cycle, that aspirant again returns to that stagnated next (of evolutionary process) so as to evolve over these stagnations and thus this in turn ensures compliance to the forward movement of the evolutionary process due to the perfect compliance towards the maintenance of real nextness of evolution … And due to this characteristic of the 3rd vital air, this 3rd vital air is stated as ‘Prana Prana’ and where the word Prana is accepted as the general term of the entire vital air sheath (Pranamaya Kosha) … This is because, this 3rd vital air is the real reason for all forward movements of evolution within the entire macrocosmic creation and due to this reason of maintenance of real nextness of the ever forward moving evolutionary process, this same yellow colored Prana Prana is also present (but in minor amounts) within all the major chakras” …

The little student asked “is this yellow of ‘Prana Prana’ also within other minor Chakras?” …

The eternal guide said “Yes, within all Chakras, but not in the middles of minor chakras” … And then the eternal guide pointed to the student and said “This one must look to see this fact” …

The student looked for some time and then said … “Yes, each Chakra has each Prana which we have discussed till now and each Chakra other than the eight have this yellow also, but not in the middle of those Chakras” …

The eternal guide said “During the entirety of cyclic existence, each forward movement in the real nextness is by this ‘Prana Prana” … And each real next stage of evolutionary process that is ever arrived at, is also due to this Prana Prana only … Unless one gets into supersonic modes of evolution, this Prana Prana would always ensure a perfect maintenance of real nextness of the evolutionary process of each aspirant ” …

The little student asked … “Involuntary activity we have discussed is governed by the 5th vital air (Vyana Prana) and the 5th sub vital air (which in Sanskrit Yogic and Vedic texts is called as Dhananjaya Upa Prana), so does this 3rd vital air also share those jobs with the fifth vital air?” …

The eternal guide replied “The 5th vital air or Vyana does these involuntary jobs … But the real nextness of these involuntary jobs is maintained by this 3rd vital air or Prana” …

And then the eternal guide continued “As such, each real nextness, right from the development of a fetus till a new born and from a new born till the rollover of the physical vehicle, is governed by this ‘Prana’ prana … As also the real nextness of function of systems of the body is also governed by this ‘Prana’ Prana” …

And then the eternal guide moved its hand a full circle again and said while looking at the little student … “Real nextness of all that ever is within the entirety of the macrocosmic macrocosmic is also maintained by this 3rd vital air (or Prana Prana)” …

The student looked at all this from within the cave of the prana or vital airs and asked … “Then why this Prana Prana not prevent the next of nextness from manifesting?” …

The eternal guide smiled and replied … “Mind sheath (Manomaya Kosha) is subtler and thus it is also higher in its macrocosmic hierarchical standing as compared to vital air sheath (Pranamaye Kosha) of which the 3rd vital air (or Prana Prana) is also a part … So, the mind pervades the Prana (vital air sheath) and thus becomes its controller (the pervader is the one who controls the pervaded) … Will is of the mind , so when the will is stronger than what this Prana Prana can counteract at that moment, the real nextness is let go for that aspect … This is as, this 3rd vital air remains detached from each form of will which originates from  stubbornness of the mind … So, in such cases, next of nextness shall get manifested” …

The little student asked … “So, will is the primary evil for manifesting of this next of nextness” …

The eternal guide said … “Will based in stubbornness also is the primary tool for maintenance of real nextness … And when this same will power gets governed by the effects of lower desires or lower impressional fields or supersonic mode of evolution, then the same will becomes the primary cause of manifestation of next of nextness of evolution, because within a strong will power, the real nextness can never be maintained by Prana Prana … As long as the will power is subtler, like a desire to naturally evolve and enjoy the process (which as such denotes a subtler state of will) and is not like a desire to evolve sooner and through any means (which as such denotes grossness as it is related to individualistic aspects), real nextness shall be maintained by Prana Prana … Unless one remains connected to allness of Maker’s Makings, next of nextness can manifest during ones evolutionary process” …

The little student pointed to itself and said “This is not clear … Not understood” …

The eternal guide said … “When will is such that it overpowers each aspect which is evolving, then that will is naught but attached to a lower desire … Lower desires always relate to constrictions and thus to grossness … And in such a case a manifestation of next of nextness of evolution can never be avoided” …

The student asked … “So does even a stronger desire for liberation leads to a loss of control by this ‘Prana Prana” as far as maintenance of real nextness of evolution is concerned?” …

The eternal guide smiled and replied … “Yes, a strong will which is just to know the truth or even be liberated, is just the grosser state of will power and this condition would also lead to loss of control of evolutionary process the Prana Prana, whose end result is always as a loss of maintenance of real nextness of the process of evolution” …

And then the eternal guide pointed at the student and said … “This one knows this next of nextness as a firsthand experience of a stronger desire to know all … doesn’t it?” …

The student nodded in agreement as the next of nextness was a already experienced as pain and sufferings of mind and body when certain meditations were done with such stronger desires to know the reality” …

The eternal guide said … “If a higher act is done with an unpurified mind or within a strong will power, then also it also leads to a next of nextness … This is why there is no liberation in Aghora Marg and also in Tantra because a practitioner of Tantra (i.e. a Tantric) invariably has to use a higher will power … And on contrary to this, a Vaishnava doesn’t have to use that will power, so a true Vaishnava invariably attains to liberation … In Aghora Marg, one can know everything through a direct cognition, but Kaivalya (or liberation) is a distant probability … And on the contrary, within the Vaishnava Marg, one may not know everything through a direct cognition, but emancipated (liberated) one can definitely be …

Then the eternal guide pointed to the little student and said … “This one has always been of the Aghora Marg i.e. Marg of Aghora face of Shiva … So, till this time, this one never attained to liberation, even when he already was free of choice to return back to a gross or subtle world, or not return back … Practitioners of Aghora path can even attain to that macrocosmic status, which even the Gods respect and revere, but liberation (Moksha) is still a distant dream for such practitioners … Such practitioners can be the ones who deliver the path of liberation, but that deliverance is also restricted to the path of liberation and not the final state of liberation (i.e. Kaivalya Moksha) … They can make other stand at the doorway of liberation, but to enter the doorway and to know what is beyond, is not within their capacities … How can one say about that stage, which is not even self realized by him or her) and this is the limitation of practitioners of Aghora paths … This is what the path of Aghora face of Sadashiva (Aghora Marg) ultimately leads to …

Then the eternal guide continued … “But in this transmigrated incarnation, since ‘This One (little student)’ is primarily of a Vaishnava Path, and who initially had also followed the Aghora path due to his part generated impressions (Poorva Samskara), so this one would know both sides of the coin of paths of liberation … And also deliver that knowledge to this world … And yet within his current transmigration, remain as a little student only” …

And the little student agreed basis his earlier experiences of both these paths during the current incarnation, and nodded in affirmative …

And then the little student asked so as to clarify one more doubt … “Why are colors of vital airs stated differently in different texts” …

The eternal guide said … “From where these are seen, is the color of each gross and subtle aspect … As such these colors are different due to the states from where one sees that color … This is something like, when anyone wears red colored goggles, then all that would be seen would be having that red color … And the same is applicable for everything else … And when during the path of Shiva Taraka Naad, which would also come by to this one (little student) at a later stage of his incarnation, and after the stage of Shakti Shiva Yoga that would spontaneously manifest at that stage, the entire vital are sheath would be seen to be of a diamond white color, which as such would lead to many-many Siddha Sharira (Siddha bodies) to get self manifested … But this stage is still a bit far from the nowness of now of this one’s (little students) evolutionary standing … And at that time, would also be manifested the diamond white body (Brahma Sharira)” …

The little student asked … “Is this exit of white pot of butter the same as what is subtly (indirectly) written in Mahashiva Purana”? …

The eternal guide replied “Well, this is also subtly (indirectly) written in Brahma sutras and many other Vedic texts … So, this question cannot be answered, as eventually when one knows the reality of things, then that person also knows that ‘all roads lead to the same home’ and where that home is also found to be free of the entirety of Law of cause and effect, in addition to being being free of its governing principle, that is, the principle of interdependent origination” …

And then the eternal guide continued speaking … Thus liberation is never gained under cause of effects, one always has to ‘be’ liberated instead of ‘getting’ liberated” …

The eternal guide continued further and said … “To ‘get liberated’ leads to the path of getting into deeds and since liberation itself is beyond the laws, process and principles of Maker’s Makings, thus it cannot be arrived at, through deeds … Fruits of better deeds can only make one stand at the doorway of liberation … And whilst standing at the doorway of liberation, unless the aspirant completely detaches from all fruits and their deeds, the doorway of liberation can never be entered into … This is a matter of fact as far as a final liberation (i.e. Kaivalya) is concerned … And it was due to this reason, Vedic systems have said that the last phase of life i.e. the fourth phase of Sannyasa (i.e. renunciation), which is after Brahmacharya (natural celibate state of childhood), then the state of Grihasta (married or conjugal life) then the stage of Vanaprastha (retiring into forest after completing obligations towards the family), is the final phase … The term Sanyasa (renunciation) also denotes the Moksha or Kaivalya i.e. a full, final and permanent isolation from allness and her each part … But renunciation cannot be complete, unless all earlier cause and effects are detached from i.e. let go … And this aspect of Sanyasa is what leads to passing through the doorway of liberation and thus such an aspirant, is spontaneously liberated, soon after this aspect of Sanyasa is adopted and complied” …

The eternal guide continued … “Deeds lead to fruits, which further becomes as causes for further deeds and thence the same aspirant gets a further fruit … Thus, cause and effect are naught but an endless source of bondage … Unless one exits out of the ‘Law of cause and effect’ and also exits out of its ‘governing principle of dependent origination’, one can never be liberated … Being liberated is when one is also free of all laws, process and principles, which also includes what we have discussed here … This is because, liberation can never be from anything, but everything, which also includes all earlier deeds and fruits … Liberation in its finality (i.e. Kaivalya Moksha) is only when stationed within the attributeless infinite being (i.e. Brahman) … And as a matter of fact, since Brahman is also free from attainments (Siddhi’s), deeds and fruits, so if one has to ‘be liberated’, then the only path is to ‘be liberated’, is to ‘Be Brahman’ … Unless one is already Brahman, what liberation would be arrived at, is anybody’s imagination which as such is far from the reality of liberation … Unless liberation is to ‘Be Brahman’, it is never as a ‘final liberation’, which as such means nothing but a ‘full, final and permanent from allness and her each part’ … Unless the liberated one is such, what liberation is he talking about … This is why a fully liberated one, can also not carry out the job of being a Guru (because he is also liberated from being a Guru of anyone) and thus he (or she) only continues as a little student … And this is even when, he (or she) would definitely render the knowledge of path and state of final liberation, because there has never been a fully liberated one (Kaivalya Mukta) who was liberated whilst still alive (i.e. a Jeevanmukta), who has not done this job after ‘being liberated, from all that is, as allness and her each part’ …

The little student understood and also told the same to the eternal guide …

Then the eternal guide said … “This completes our discussion on this ‘Prana Prana (or the 3rd vital air) and now we shall discuss the 3rd sub vital air as this still remains” …

Naga Upa Prana … Nag Upa Prana … 3rd vital sub air …

Then the eternal guide again caught the little students hand and said “Let’s go to study the 3rd sub vital air now” …

The eternal guide walked while holding the tiny hand of his little student and soon a light blue glow was seen to which the eternal guide pointed and said … “This is the 3rd sub vital air or the Nag Upa Prana” …

The little student nodded of understanding … But asked … “Why is this 3rd sub vital having those sinusoidal (snake like) movements within it?” …

The eternal guide replied … “These are the thoughts … Thoughts move in a sinusoidal wave form, like snakes and thus all thoughts which are within the Pranic body are also residing within this 3rd sub prana and this is what gives this 3rd sub vital air, its name of Naag Upa Prana (Nag or Naag means snake)” …

The little student saw the sinusoidal or snaky movements and agreed …

The eternal guide said … “If these thoughts are purer, then the amplitude of the sinusoidal waves that are seen here, would be lesser and in such a state, the frequency of these sinusoidal waves would be higher … Since thoughts rest in the 3rd vital air, so when these thoughts move within this third vital air, that also make the 3rd vital air to have these snake like (sinusoidal) movements … And this is what leads to the name of Naag (or Nag) which means snake” …

The little student saw and agreed …

The eternal guide continued “And when the aspirant is thoughtless and thus no though traverses this 3rd sub vital air or Nag Upa Prana, then only that aspirant self realizes the Nirgun chakra which has already been discussed earlier on” …

And then the eternal guide said … “Look and tell if the movement and job of this sub vital air is different from the other sub vitals?” …

The student looked and said … “No, just the same type of flows and patterns are different as the job it is doing is just the same as what other sub vital airs do for their respective Prana” …

The eternal guide then said … “So this completes the walk through the 3rd sub vital air (Nag Upa Prana) …
