Time spans of divine ages

This topic is in continuity with the previous one “Representation of divine ages” … Here we shall discus divine age cycle … These divine ages (or divine age) has also been called as Deva Yuga, Mahayuga and Chatur Yuga …

The time spans stated in Manusmriti are applicable to both the human and divine ages in addition to their applicability to the cycles of father of man (i.e. Manvantar) and solar age cycles …

As was discussed in previous topic, the time cycles which are told in Vedic lore are primarily related to the divine years and each divine year is having 360 human solar years … The mathematical derivation of this factor of 360 (which is utilized to convert human time to divine time) shall be done at a later stage of this topic (of Kaalchakra) …

Human age cycle is too minor as far as their time span is concerned and on the contrary the solar cycle (solar revolution around the center of galaxy, which is also called as a Galactic year) is too large, so the ancient Vedic Sages had utilized the middle cycle (i.e. the divine age cycle) as a base of their calculations …

As also is a fact that …

  • By utilizing the human age cycles we get physical values or values that are related to the physical realm of this planet …
  • By utilizing divine age cycles we can get the divine values i.e. values that are related to divine realms (or divine worlds) …
  • And by utilizing the solar cycle, the values that are applicable at the abode of creator (i.e. the values which are applicable of Brahmaloka) are arrived at …

Note: As far as the lattermost cycle of time i.e. solar cycle, is concerned, except a few relevant points which are already established in the Vedic lore, I shall not be stating anything else … This is because I fear that the present day leadership of humanity would misuse this knowledge for subduing others and/or for controlling the entire world … Plus the fuller aspects of this knowledge can never be distributed within a divine degenerate age (Deva Kaliyuga) …

So with above as a base, we shall calculate the values of divine ages in divine years and also in human solar years …

46-AA … Application of Manusmriti to divine age …

The time spans stated in Manusmriti are related to all ages …

Manusmriti says the total time span of an age as 12,000 years … This time span is related to all age cycles, including of human ages and divine ages …

Manusmriti says the division of various ages as follows …

  • Satyuga or Kritayuga (or age of purity or age of truth) is 4 units …
  • Tretayuga (age of trinity) is 3 units …
  • Dwaparyuga (age of duality) is 2 units …
  • Kaliyuga (age of degeneration) is 1 unit …

The same was also established by my own subtle measurements as was discussed in an earlier topic which has the header of “Arcs of age cycles” where it was told as follows …

  • Manav Satyuga (human age of purity) is having an arc of 72 degrees …
  • Manav Tretayuga (human age of trinity) is having an arc of 54 degrees …
  • Manav Dwaparyuga (human age of duality) is having an arc of 36 degrees …
  • Manav Kaliyuga (human degenerate age) is having an arc of 18 degrees …
  • All above are also in line with what is stated by Manusmriti as far as the ratios of these four ages which make a human age cycle are concerned …

But as far as divine ages are concerned, these arcs are double in value as depicted in below bullet points … These discussions are also in line with what is stated by Manusmriti as far as the ratios of these four ages which make an age cycle are concerned …

Above is the only difference of human ages (i.e. Manav Yuga) to divine ages (i.e. Deva Yuga or Mahayuga) … And since these arcs are doubled within the divine age cycles, so their ratios continue to be the same as discussed above (i.e. as per Manusmriti) …

So with this as a base, we shall continue further …

46-BB … Divine ages in divine years

Further to what was discussed earlier topic of “Arcs of age cycles”, and also another earlier topic of “Time spans of human ages”, and also in the earlier topic of “Breakup of human age cycles” and the even earlier topics of “Unitary value of time”, we proceed with this discussion …

Since Manusmriti itself is the base of all age cycles, including the human and divine ages, so as a matter of fact …

  • As is the arc of a human age, so is it in the divine ages …
  • As are the human years within a human age, so is it in the divine ages …
  • This is because of sameness of applicability of principles of time to both the human and divine ages and this is why what is told in Manusmriti regarding the time span of these age cycles, is a universal knowledge i.e. a knowledge which relates to all time cycles …

46-CC … Divine ages in divine years at Nadir time units of precession …

Thus basis above and in sameness to what was told in earlier topic of “Time spans of human ages” these divine ages in divine years are also as follows …

  • Deva Satyuga (divine age of truth) … 4800 divine years …
  • Deva Tretayuga (divine age of Trinity) … 3600 divine years …
  • Deva Dwaparyuga (divine age of duality) … 2400 divine years …
  • Deva Kaliyuga (divine degenerate age) … 1200 divine years …

These are also in same ratios as was discussed in the earlier topic of “Arcs of age cycles” …

Thus to get the value of one complete divine age cycle (in divine years), just add all above … This value is of 12,000 divine years … This is the same value that is stated in Manusmriti for one divine age cycle (Mahayuga Chakra or Deva Yuga Chakra) …

Primarily the middle time is applicable to a “divine age in divine years” so we would mostly be utilizing this middle time in most of the later calculations of this topic (of Kaalchakra) which relate to divine years …

And  when we convert the above values of “divine ages in divine years” into human years, then would we need to work out their time spans at the applicable time units of precession and at the cardinal points of precession … This calculation is also done in the next discussion of this topic …

46-DD … Divine ages in human solar years

When we calculate a divine age in human solar years, then because Manav Yuga Chakra (or human age cycles) are directly related to the Precessional cycle, so the calculated values shall have to be worked out for at least the cardinal points of precession and the current stage of progress of precession of the world …

So here is that calculation …

46-DD-1 … Divine ages in human solar years at middle time units of precession …

The concept of 360 that is used here is mathematically derived in a later topic

When calculated for Middle time units of precession, these divine ages have the following values …

  • Deva Satyuga (divine age of truth) … 4800 x 360 = 1,728,000 human solar years …
  • Deva Tretayuga (divine age of Trinity) … 3600 x 360 = 1,296,000 human solar years …
  • Deva Dwaparyuga (divine age of duality) … 2400 x 360 = 864,000 human solar years …
  • Deva Kaliyuga (divine degenerate age) … 1200 x 360 = 432,000 human solar years …

Thus if we add all above, then we can get the time span of one divine age cycle in human solar years …

One complete divine age cycle (which is of one set of 4 divine ages or Mahayuga or Deva Yuga Chakra) in human solar years is found by adding all above and this value is of 4,320,000 human solar years (i.e. 4.32 million human solar years) …

This is the same as is calculated in Vedic knowledge systems and is also an offshoot of the original knowledge that was given by Manu Maharaaj (Father of mankind) in Manusmriti …

46-DD-2 … Divine ages in human solar years at Nadir time units of precession …

Now we would calculate above values for Nadir time units of precession …

From our earlier discussions, we know the factor of conversion of middle time units to Nadir time units is 1.08 … So in this calculation, we shall be using this factor directly …

  • Deva Satyuga (divine age of truth) … 4800 x 360 x 1.08 = 1,866,240 human solar years …
  • Deva Tretayuga (divine age of Trinity) … 3600 x 360 x 1.08 = 1,399,680 human solar years …
  • Deva Dwaparyuga (divine age of duality) … 2400 x 360 x 1.08 = 933,120 human solar years …
  • Deva Kaliyuga (divine degenerate age) … 1200 x 360 x 1.08 = 466,560 human solar years …

Adding all above we get the total time span of a divine age cycle (at Nadir point of precession) as 4,665,600 human solar years

Above shall be the value of a divine age cycle in human solar years when calculated for Nadir time units of precession …

46-DD-3 … Divine ages in human solar years at Zenith time units of precession …

Now we would calculate above values for Zenith time units of precession …

We would need to derive this value by converting Middle time units to Zenith time units …

This would be by the following equation …

{(Value at Middle time units / Unitary value of time at Middle time units) x Unitary value of time as Zenith time units}

These unitary values are already calculated in section 23-CC of earlier topic of “Unitary value of time” …

So basis above, we get the values as follows …

  • Deva Satyuga (divine age of truth) … {(4,800 x 66.6666667) x 61.3333333} = 1,589,760 human solar years …
  • Deva Tretayuga (divine age of Trinity) … {(3,600 x 66.6666667) x 61.3333333} = 1,192, 320 human solar years …
  • Deva Dwaparyuga (divine age of duality) … {(2,400 x 66.6666667) x 61.3333333} = 794,880 human solar years …
  • Deva Kaliyuga (divine degenerate age) … {(3600 x 66.6666667) x 61.3333333} = 397,440 human solar years …

Adding all above to get the total time span of a divine age cycle (at Zenith point of precession … This value is of 3,974,400 human solar years

Above shall be the value of a divine age cycle (Deva Yuga Chakra) in human solar years when calculated for Zenith time units of precession …

46-DD-4 … At current time units of precession …

To calculate for current time units of precession, we shall have to use the values of the closest cardinal point, which as such is of Nadir point of precession …

So at current time units of precession, above values become as follows …

{(Value at Nadir time units / Unitary value of time at Nadir time units) x Unitary value of time as current time units}

These unitary values are already calculated in section 23-CC of earlier topic of “Unitary value of time” …

So basis above, we get the values as follows …

  • Deva Satyuga (divine age of truth) … {(1,866,240 x 72.0) x 71.6} = 1,855,872 human solar years …
  • Deva Tretayuga (divine age of Trinity) … {(1,399,680 x 72.0) x 71.6} = 1,391,904 human solar years …
  • Deva Dwaparyuga (divine age of duality) … {(933,120 x 72.0) x 71.6} = 927,936 human solar years …
  • Deva Kaliyuga (divine degenerate age) … {(466,560 x 72.0) x 71.6} = 463,968 human solar years …

Adding all above to get the total time span of a divine age cycle (at current phase of precession) … This value is of 4,639, 680 human solar years

Above is the value of a divine age cycle (Deva Yuga Chakra) in human solar years calculated for current phase of precession …
